The art of the Uzbek carpet is a synthesis of the Dashti-Kipchak heritage and the carpet traditions of other Uzbek tribal people living on the territory of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek inspired carpet designs mainly consist of shamanistic symbols and motifs such as the equilateral cross (unification of the spiritual and material), eight-pointed star, zoomorphic symbols, plant motifs symbolizing fertility.
