Our family has been in the rug business for over a hundred years. After four generations in the industry, we are proud to bring to you Home Accents, our latest venture, which specializes in hand-knotted rugs aspiring to enter the home furnishing market with a wide range of product lines.

Our Lineage

Khawaja Ghulam Muhayedin (1900-1991): Hailed as the father of the carpet industry in Pakistan and the founder of Pak Punjab Carpets in 1947, this humble carpet manufacturer and trader from Kashmir, India, is afforded the utmost respect in today's carpet industry. The secret of his success lay in his virtues of integrity, discipline, and hard work. Under his heirs' competent eyes, his lineage and legacy continue to thrive even today, a century later.

Khawaja Zubair Ahmad: Zubair Ahmad, considered the pioneer and visionary of Pak Punjab Carpets, recognized the potential of this soon-to-flourish cottage industry and became Pakistan's leading manufacturer in no time. He reigned over the carpet industry as the premium exporter throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He held esteemed posts such as the Chairman of the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) and the Senior Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce during this period. At a time when it was yet unheard of, Zubair Ahmad had the vision and savvy to import New Zealand's world-famous worsted wool and produced the finest counts of yarns in his spinning mills. Under his leadership, Pak Punjab Carpets manufactured the finest Mori Bokara and Kafkazi at the time, in qualities ranging up to 12/24. In addition to receiving numerous export trophies, he has also played an active role in shaping the carpet industry and helping it reach where it is today.

Khawaja Talha Zubair: Following in his father's footsteps, Talha Zubair has also held several esteemed posts, including Chairman of PCMEA (N), and has managed to organize one of the most successful hand-knotted carpet exhibitions in the history of the association. In recent years, he has successfully managed to serve retail giants such as Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Ethan Allan's for over a decade.
